Petite Friture turns to the 1930s avant-garde with the reintroduction of René Herbst’s SANDOWS seating, with three pieces that feel strikingly modern. With their chromed steel frames and cord accents, the designs revolve around structure, tension and graphical elements. Herbst, often called “the man of steel”, created chairs that were lightweight, ergonomic and radically modern. Now, his vision feels refreshingly relevant. The rhythm of the cords, the transparency of the frames and the absence of ornament align with contemporary interiors that value lightness and adaptability. The new versions of the chair N°212, the longchair N°114 and the armchair are an ode to the original, effortlessly bridging eras and proving that truly timeless designs simply wait for the right moment to return.
