A light switch might be one of the smallest details in an interior, but its impact on a space should not be underestimated. Since its introduction in the mid-1960s, JUNG’s LS series has challenged expectations of what this everyday object can look like. Sixty years later, the LS 990 remains a defining icon.

Designed by Herbert W. Richter, the square switch reflected the influence of the Bauhaus movement, stripping the form back to its essentials. Its balanced proportions and generous surface set it apart from the smaller, more utilitarian switches of its time. The design has evolved alongside technology, but its unmistakable outline has remained intact. That continuity is matched by an extensive range of finishes, colours and technical possibilities. The LS series can be specified in shades from the Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier® palette, making the switch an integral part of an interior’s colour concept rather than a detail to overlook. This range offers room to experiment with colour and coordinate switches with other elements throughout an interior, from the smallest details to the bigger picture.
