Paola Lenti, renowned for high-quality and unique garden furniture, opened her finished and impressive showroom in her own city this year. After the Metamorfosi collection designed by Estúdio Campana in 2022, the second chapter of the Mottainai project was revealed. This virtuous production philosophy, interpreting the significance of the Japanese word Mottainai – “do not waste, use the resources you have available” – restores function and aesthetic value to surplus production that would otherwise be discarded. The starting point is the Maris mesh fabric, developed and produced exclusively by Paola Lenti for its outdoor collections. Recyclable, 100% polypropylene, waterproof, and available in 180 color hues. Nendo created lamps, poufs, side tables, an armchair, and baskets with the recycled material, featuring the typical bright colors we’ve come to expect from Paola Lenti.
