What happens when a designer stops searching for one big idea and starts exploring fifty at once? At Dutch Design Week 2026, Eindhoven-based designer Teun Zwets opens the doors to his studio for his exhibition NEW STUDIO SUPER SHOW.
At its heart is 50 CHAIRS, 50 NEW COLLECTIONS: fifty distinct chair designs developed as a way of discovering what might come next. Rather than beginning with a fixed concept, Zwets lets materials, construction techniques and practical decisions guide the process. Some pieces may remain one-offs, while others could grow into entire collections. This hands-on approach runs throughout his work, from the Splitted collection, in which axe-split timber becomes expressive furniture, to collaborations and art installations. At the studio, visitors can explore new designs alongside existing work, with different spaces creating unexpected combinations of furniture, colour and material.
With Dutch Design Week running from 17 to 25 October, the exhibition offers a limited opportunity to see his process in action and discover the directions his work might take next. NEW STUDIO SUPER SHOW runs until 25 October 2026 at Studio Teun Zwets, Hallenweg 11a, Eindhoven. Open daily from 11 am to 6 pm.
