For the seventh consecutive year, ‘Alcova’ is organised during Milan Design Week: an international platform uniting both prominent and emerging figures from the contemporary design realm. Set within two iconic, historic venues near Milan, attendees will be enveloped in an immersive experience showcasing the breadth of modern design.

‘Alcova’ has established itself as an essential destination during Salone del Mobile over the years, and this edition is no exception. Here, a diverse array of galleries, designers, companies, and schools engage in dialogue with extraordinary works of historic architecture. Materials and production processes are dissected, social and political issues are deliberated upon, and experimental arts are granted the freedom to flourish.

Within the walls of two historic villas—Villa Bagatti Valsecchi and Villa Borsani—visitors can explore over 70 exhibition stands, all dedicated to ‘Alcova: The Dwelling’. This theme is presented in a captivating interplay with the venues’ historic domestic settings. ‘Alcova’ beckons the public into an almost surreal microcosm—a context steeped in history, inviting contemplation on the future of design through installations, performances, and communal experiences.
