What does a home reveal about someone who has left the room? That’s what Dimoregallery explored through L’assenza, la poesia, an immersive installation staged at Villa Mozart in Milan.
During Milan Fashion Week, the historic residence by architect Piero Portaluppi became the setting for an imagined home belonging to an absent art collector, where furniture, art and Serapian creations came together as fragments of a story. A book left open, a chair slightly out of place, flowers in a vase: seemingly ordinary details hinted at the person behind the interior. As visitors moved from room to room, they explored the story of the house and its owner. The installation drew on the location’s 1930s character, while Serapian’s creations became part of the scene as well. The installation successfully turned interior design into storytelling, showing how atmosphere and subtle details can fill a space with personality and, more importantly, a story.
